HEAC Announces Second Round of Admissions for 2025/2026 Academic Year

Muscat: The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has announced the results of the second round of admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year. A total of 1,808 students have been admitted, with a focus on fields such as Business Administration and Commerce, Information Technology, Engineering and Related Technologies, Arts, and Society and Culture.

According to Oman News Agency, Ahmed Mohammed Al Azri, the Director General of HEAC, stated that there are 1,235 vacant seats, which represent 4.2% of the total seats allocated for the academic year. These vacancies are due to a lack of students meeting the specific admission requirements for certain programs.

Al Azri advised students to check their admission results on the Unified Admission System’s registration page. He emphasized the need for all accepted students to complete their registration procedures at their respective higher education institutions by 23 November. He highlighted the importance of adhering to these deadlines to confirm their seats as per the registration completion procedures of each institution.

Additionally, Al Azri announced that the Center will offer a ‘Seat Reinstatement Service’ on 24-25 November. This service is designed for students who were initially offered a seat but did not complete the registration process, resulting in their status being listed as “Not Registered” in any academic program.
