Muscat:Represented by Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman hosted the 25th meeting of the Committee of E-Learning Officials from universities and higher education institutions across the GCC.
According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was led by HH Sayyid Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University. The meeting included representatives from 32 universities and institutions from GCC states, with a focus on enhancing cooperation and coordination for the exchange of expertise and practices in e-learning and teaching systems.
Salim bin Jabir Al Waeli, Director of the SQU Educational Technologies Centre, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation frameworks among GCC higher education institutions. He highlighted that sharing expertise and best practices in e-learning is crucial for keeping up with technological advancements and digital transformation. This approach aims to create a more integrated and innovative educational system that addresses current needs and anticipates future requirements.
The meeting also revisited recommendations and decisions from the previous session of the Committee and discussed the latest e-learning developments and initiatives at the participating universities and institutions.
