Muscat: The development of the visual identity for the Arabian Oryx Reserve in the Wilayat of Haima, Al Wusta Governorate, was discussed today in the Wilayat as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reserve's corporate identity and highlight its environmental, tourism, and cultural value.

According to Oman News Agency, the event featured interactive working sessions and specialized workshops during which participants discussed the main pillars of the visual identity and reviewed the values and messages represented by the reserve. They also explored visual elements inspired by the desert environment as well as the natural and cultural characteristics of Al Wusta Governorate, culminating in drafting an identity that expresses the reserve's unique character and keeps pace with tourism development and marketing trends.

The initiative aims to build an integrated visual identity for the Arabian Oryx Reserve, drawing inspiration from the natural and environmental assets that distinguish the reserve, as well as the symbolism of the Arabian Oryx as one of the most prominent wildlife icons in the Sultanate of Oman. This reflects the reserve's standing and mission in preserving biodiversity and contributes to enhancing its presence locally and internationally.

Mohammed Nasser Al Saadi, Director of the Arabian Oryx Department at the Environment Authority, emphasized that building the visual identity for the Arabian Oryx Reserve represents a qualitative step toward highlighting the reserve's status as one of the most important nature reserves in the Sultanate of Oman and enhancing its presence in eco-tourism and wildlife conservation. He pointed out that the project embodies the integration of efforts among various relevant entities to showcase the environmental and cultural assets with which Al Wusta Governorate is endowed.

He added that the visual identity will serve as a pillar for enhancing communication with visitors, researchers, and environmental enthusiasts, and supporting initiatives aimed at raising awareness on the importance of conserving natural resources, in line with the targets of Oman Vision 2040 in environmental sustainability and tourism development.

The Arabian Oryx Reserve in the Wilayat of Haima is considered one of the most prominent nature reserves in the Sultanate of Oman, owing to its biodiversity and natural habitats for the Arabian Oryx and several wildlife species, in addition to its role in supporting wildlife conservation efforts and developing sustainable eco-tourism.
