European Stock Indices Decline Amid Rising Oil Prices

Paris:European stock indices opened lower today, influenced by an increase in oil prices, which has reignited concerns over the sovereign debt markets of European nations after a rebound in Wednesday's trading.

According to Oman News Agency, major European markets experienced declines. France's CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange decreased by 0.62 percent, while Germany's DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange dropped 0.70 percent. The UK's FTSE 100 index in London fell by 0.34 percent, and Italy's FTSE MIB index on the Milan Stock Exchange declined 0.45 percent.
