Muscat: Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, today approved the general indicators of results of Semester 1 exams of the General Education Diploma (GED) and its equivalents for School Year 2024/2025. As many as 54,943 male and female students sat for the GED exams and the overall success rate was 80.76%.
According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry provided a detailed breakup of the exam results. A total of 1,577 students from private (bilingual) schools appeared for the GED Diploma exams, achieving a success rate of 91.05%. Additionally, 43 students from the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (bilingual) sat for the Technical General Education Diploma, achieving a perfect success rate of 100%. Similarly, 121 students took the exams for the General Education and Islamic Sciences Diploma, also achieving a success rate of 100%.
Furthermore, 61 students from the Special Education segment participated in the General Education Diploma exams, with a success rate of 88.52%. For the General Vocational and Technical Education Diploma exams, 138 students participated, resulting in a success rate of 99.27%.
Results will be accessible from 4 pm on Sunday, 9 March 2025. Students can receive their results through Omantel, Ooredoo, and Vodafone by sending an SMS with their seat numbers to the number 90200. The results will also be available later on the Oman Educational Portal.
