Muscat: The Directorate General of Education in the Governorate of Dhofar today launched the 2026 summer programme for school students. Themed 'Summer of Learning and Innovation', the programme is organized in cooperation with 'Tethys Oil Limited' at five centres. It benefits 300 school students and runs until 6 August 2026.
According to Oman News Agency, the programme seeks to make optimum use of the students' summer vacation by developing their technical skills and enhancing their values of national identity. It also aims to encourage social action, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The programme includes a range of educational activities and training workshops in fields such as science, innovation, media, sports, culture and literature, arts, economics, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, field trips are organized to combine learning, entertainment, and future skills development.
