Dhofar: The Municipal Council of Dhofar Governorate, during its fourth regular meeting this year, addressed several vital topics related to community and environmental sectors across the governorate’s wilayats.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was chaired by HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and included a review of the role of the Directorate General of Education in the governorate. The council focused on raising awareness about the importance of school attendance, discussing ways to create an encouraging environment that reduces absenteeism and promotes school discipline. The discussions also highlighted the significance of strengthening partnerships between schools and the community to motivate students to commit to their studies.

Furthermore, the council emphasized the need for a joint awareness plan aimed at enhancing community understanding of the importance of education.
