Muscat: The Board of Directors of the Oman Endowment Foundation (OEF) held its first meeting today, under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs and Head of the OEF Board of Directors.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on several key issues, including the mechanisms for approving the appointment of the OEF Deputy Chairman and Rapporteur. It also reviewed the progress made during the foundation stage of the OEF, the formation of a working team, the development of project governance, and the selection of a temporary headquarters for the organization.
The board also examined administrative and financial aspects, such as the founding budget and the authorization of a board member to assume the responsibilities of the CEO. They discussed the initiation of procedures to appoint a CEO under the guidance of a specialized agency.
In addition, the Board of Directors explored the OEF’s media policy, investment portfolio, and targeted investment o
pportunities. They discussed the investment operational model and looked into potential collaborations with houses of expertise that specialize in developing financial, administrative, and investment systems.
