Muscat: The Board of Directors of the Social Investment Centre affiliated to Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today held its annual plan for the year 2025 and the proposed budget for enhancing sustainable social investment. The meeting was held under the auspices of HH Sayyida Dr. Mona Fahad Al Said, Chairperson of the Centre’s Board of Directors, in the presence of stakeholders.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise with similar centres locally and internationally, notably by organizing visits and implementing joint programmes that would contribute to localizing knowledge and endorsing the best practices in this field. It also discussed some draft financial and administrative regulations aimed at ensuring effective governance of the centre.
The meeting emphasized the need to transform social investment programmes, projects, and initiatives into sustainable investments capable of achieving long-term impact. It also st
udied scopes for establishing strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors in a manner that achieves integration towards sustainable social development.
