Muscat: The Academy of Strategic and Defense Studies: has launched a Master's program in 'Research Methodologies for Strategic and Foresight Studies'. The program seeks to offer an educational experience designed to meet the evolving needs of researchers, analysts, and policymakers within the framework of curricula featuring strategic dimensions that align with academic standards.

According to Oman News Agency, the program is envisaged to enhance the participants' skills in understanding advanced research methodologies, enabling them to evaluate critical issues, identify trends, and draw evidence-based conclusions. It also aims to foster a culture of lifelong learning and continuous professional development, promote a comprehensive understanding of complex strategic issues and encourage the spirit of initiative and innovation.

As part of the program, the participants will gain research experience within the framework of training via internships, the implementation of graduation projects, and through collaboration with industry partners.

The first batch of the program is set to begin on 20 September 2026, with the participation of personnel from military, security, and civil units.
