Baghdad – Amnesty International Organization published a video clip on social media calling for the urgent entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and the lifting of the illegal Israeli siege on the Strip.
The clip contained a message addressed to the world stating that “2.2 million citizens live in Gaza, most of them refugees who were forcibly displaced, since 1948, and since 1967, Gaza has been occupied, along with other Palestinian areas.”
The organization added, “Since 2007, Israel has imposed an illegal blockade on Gaza, where it decides who and what can pass through land, sea and air, and for 16 years, the people of Gaza have been living in an open-air prison.”
The clip continued, “During the escalation, finally, Israel implemented the siege on Gaza by cutting off electricity, food, water, and medical equipment, creating a catastrophic humanitarian crisis,” stressing at the same time that “the siege on Gaza is inhumane, punishes civilians, is considered a war crime, and is considered a pillar of the policy of Israel with the apartheid imposed on the Palestinians. Israel must lift the illegal siege on Gaza now.”/ End
