Al-Sudani: We are able to impose the will of the constitution and protect Iraqi soil from all abuse

The Prime Minister said in his speech at the memorial ceremony on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the death of former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, “We are able to impose the will of the constitution and protect Iraqi soil from all abuse.

Al-Sudani said: Six years ago, a solid fighter and a person of great meaning and influence, with a generous Iraqi Kurdish soul and a conscience that understood the diversity of our society and its need for harmony and brotherhood, such as the need to build constitutional institutions and consolidating a multi-democratic, federal Iraq, left us.

Prime Minister added, “I am confident that all the problems that may arise amid the current circumstances and challenges facing the Kurdistan region of Iraq, just as the rest of our country faces, can be solved through the spirit of transcendence and working to give priority to the interests of our people.”

Al-Sudani said: Everything that happened was the result of unparalleled sacrifices made by generations of Iraqi fighters and mujahideen and the honorable and radiant national positions that men of Mam Jalal’s example took at difficult historical junctures in the path of our Iraqi people.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani said that the dialogue that we always call for is the path towards sustaining the stability that we want for the region, which is necessarily reflected in the stability of Iraq.

Al-Sudani said that in this government, which is approaching the completion of its first year, we believe in foreign relations based on communication with nations with different horizons, based on our highest national interests.

The Prime Minister added, “We enjoy the independence of the national decision and the unity of the ranks of our people, which enabled us to defeat terrorism and protect our land.”
