Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired, this Sunday evening, a meeting to discuss the steps taken to diversify the sources of gas operating power stations in Iraq.

During the meeting, the report of the delegation that recently visited the State of Qatar, headed by the Deputy Minister of Electricity, was discussed.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a fixed system to process imported gas at Al-Faw Port, implemented by the Ministry of Oil within the federal general budget.

Al-Sudani directed that discussions be completed with the Italian consultant for Al-Faw Port to determine the location of this important project, within the port’s area.
