Al-Maliki And The Egyptian Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations And Means Of Developing Cooperation Between The Two Brotherly Countries And Pushing Them To Broader Horizons

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, discussed today, Thursday, with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Walid Muhammad Ismail, strengthening bilateral relations and ways to develop cooperation between the two brotherly countries and push them to broader horizons in various fields.

The media office of the head of the State of Law coalition said in a statement, "Al-Maliki received in his office today, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail, and discussed with him the strengthening of bilateral relations and ways to develop means of cooperation between the two brotherly countries and push them to broader horizons in various fields."

The statement indicated that the political and security developments taking place in the country were discussed, as well as developments at the regional and international levels.

The head of the State of Law Coalition stated that the Iraqi-Egyptian relations are witnessing a positive development at various levels, calling for the entry of Egyptian companies into Iraq, since the country is witnessing a state of stability and there is a trend towards construction and reconstruction, pointing to the importance of increasing coordination mechanisms within the political, economic, commercial, industrial, security and other fields, and continue to establish the factors of prosperity and the elements of regional development, and promote joint efforts in pursuit of strategic integration between the two brotherly countries.

In turn, Ambassador Ismail affirmed Egypt's keenness to consolidate relations between the two countries in all fields in order to serve common interests and build partnerships to promote sustainable development in various sectors of industry, economy and investment./ End
