A'dakhiliyah: The Department of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Governorate of A'Dakhiliyah today organized a panel discussion titled 'Preserving Public Funds is a Shared Responsibility'. The dialogue session was held under the auspices of Khalifa bin Saif Al Issa'ee, Private Bodies' Adviser at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
According to Oman News Agency, the session aimed to raise awareness about the need to safeguard public funds and consolidate the values of integrity. It outlined the concept of 'shared roles' of institutions and individuals in protecting national gains and spreading legal culture related to good management of public funds.
Three working papers were presented at the session. The first paper dealt with ways to enhance the protection of public funds. The second paper focused on the preservation of public funds from the perspective of Islamic Sharia Law. The third paper elaborated on the avoidance of conflicts of interest.
The session underlined the role of institutions in raising the efficiency of resource management and establishing the principles of transparency and accountability. It also reviewed relevant aspects of the Islamic Sharia law and stressed the importance of using modern technologies in enhancing audit and good management of resources.
