Muscat:A'Dakhiliyah Governorate: A'Dakhiliyah Governorate and the Energy Sector Social Responsibility Development Foundation, known as "Rikan," engaged in discussions today to guide social responsibility programs toward developmental priorities within the governorate's wilayats. The focus was on converting community initiatives into sustainable projects with measurable impacts.

According to Oman News Agency, this discussion was part of a meeting between Sheikh Mahmoud Rashid Al Saadi, Acting Governor of A'Dakhiliyah, and Eng. Mohammed Ahmed Al Gharibi, Chief Executive Officer of Rikan. The meeting included the Walis of the governorate's wilayats and various officials and specialists from both parties.

The meeting aimed to align the needs of the wilayats with the foundation's operational areas. It covered the mechanisms for submitting, studying, and evaluating initiatives, thereby identifying priority projects and partnership opportunities that adhere to sustainability and community impact standards.

Rikan Foundation presented its operational system for managing the social responsibility efforts in the energy sector, including its methodology for project evaluation and selection, and ways to measure the social return on investment. Its programs target areas such as human capital development, community infrastructure, the local economy, in-country value, and other social and developmental sectors.

Rikan's methodology emphasizes sustainability, governance, and linking projects to local community needs. During the meeting, the Walis highlighted various needs and priorities in the governorate's wilayats, along with the potential for incorporating scalable initiatives into social responsibility tracks. This approach seeks to establish a structured framework for coordination among the governorate, wilayats, and the foundation in project study and follow-up.
