A security source revealed the details of overthrowing a terrorist cell in a qualitative operation, northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.

The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a special force carried out a qualitative operation on the outskirts of Qara Tappa, northeast of Baquba, which resulted in the dismantling of a dangerous terrorist cell linked to ISIS, and the arrest of three of its members after clashing with them.

He added, “The cell is an important network in drug marketing through other sleeper cells linked to it within what is known as the black trade,” noting that preliminary investigations confirmed that members of the network smuggled narcotics to 4 Iraqi provinces./ End
