A security meeting was held in Baquba, the center of Diyala governorate, to discuss the Arbaeen visit plan in light of the directives of the Minister of Interior.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The meeting resulted in important decisions, including securing Al-Mundhariya port to receive foreign visitors, whether from Iran or elsewhere, to perform the Arbaeen visit, and determining the route of the convoys from Al-Mundhariya crossing to the arena designated for visitors to rest between Diyala and Baghdad including towards the holy shrines, in addition to working on inspection and checking visitors at the crossing, according to a specific mechanism.
He referred to the formation of a higher committee that would assume the tasks of follow-up and monitoring in order to create flexibility in the flow of visitors, expecting that the number of Iranian visitors would reach 200,000 visitors.
