The Basra Police Command issued, on Wednesday, a decision banning receiving strangers after midnight.

The leadership stated in a statement, "The Basra Police Commander, Major General Qassem Rashid, issued directives that prevent the entry of anyone from outside the Basra governorate except after ensuring the integrity of his official papers and that he is not involved in legal issues."

It added, "The decision will be implemented from today, 8/9/2023, until further notice."
