5th Oman HR Forum Discusses Means of Empowering National Competencies, Increasing Productivity

Muscat: The 5th edition of the Oman Human Resources Forum, titled “Mechanisms for Empowering National Competencies and Increasing Productivity,” commenced today in Muscat. The forum explored strategies for securing the future of Omani human resources amidst rapid global changes, focusing on efficiently upgrading the competencies of Omani human resources as a strategic element for achieving growth and sustainability.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum was held under the auspices of HH Sayyida Hujaija Jaifar Al Said and featured two significant working papers. The first paper, “Leading Change for Empowerment,” was presented by Abbas bin Ali Al Hameed, a State Council member and expert in human resources development and change management. The second paper, “The Role of Knowledge Economy in Empowering Human Resources,” was delivered by Shamsa Hilal Al Hajri, an economic policy analyst at the Ministry of Economy.

An interactive lab was part of the forum’s activities, focusing on empowering national cadres and augmenting productivity. The lab addressed challenges faced by national work environments and proposed practical solutions to develop a model for an ideal work environment. Additionally, it explored the integration of AI tools into everyday work systems and the necessary factors for transitioning corporate culture to ensure readiness for a rapidly evolving digital future.

Organized by Al Roya newspaper, the forum also featured a training workshop on enhancing productivity through AI in workplaces. Participants were equipped with knowledge and application tools to achieve desired outcomes using smart solutions.
