Muscat, As many as 1553 new cases of coronavirus

(Covid-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past 24 hours,

in addition to 10 new Covid-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 226,648 in

the Sultanate.

The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 2434, the

Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 721 new cases have recovered, bringing the

total number to 206,026 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 129 cases were hospitalized over

the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized

Covid-19-infected patients stands at 983 of them 303 are in intensive

care units (ICUs).
