Value of Real Estate Transactions in Oman Drops by 10.8%

Muscat: The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of January 2025 reached RO 185.5 million, marking a 10.8% decrease compared to RO 207.8 million during the same period in 2024.

According to Oman News Agency, the data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that fees collected for completed legal transactions amounted to RO 7 million, reflecting an increase of 5.6%. The value of sale contracts amounted to RO 79.9 million, representing a decline of 20.9%, with the number of contracts dropping by 7.1% to 5,688.

The traded value of mortgage contracts slightly decreased by 0.8% by the end of January 2025, totaling RO 104.5 million for 1,705 contracts. Additionally, the number of barter contracts reached 152, with a combined value of RO 1 million.

The number of title deeds issued by the end of January 2025 saw a minor decline of 0.1%, amounting to 20,588. In contrast, the number of title deeds issued for GCC citizens increased by 19% to reach 119.
