Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has announced the implementation of a new bylaw aimed at regulating telecom services’ billing and ensuring accuracy in accordance with global best practices and standards.
According to Oman News Agency, the bylaw encompasses various aspects including definitions and general provisions, obligations for licensees, tariffs, cost rates, payments, auditing, performance measurement, and administrative penalties. The primary objectives of the bylaw are to guarantee accurate billing for telecom services, protect the rights of beneficiaries, promote fair competition, enhance transparency, improve service quality, and implement the best standards and practices in the field.
