Sultan Qaboos Quran Competition Kicks Off in A’Dhahirah

Ibri:The preliminary qualifiers for the 34th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition began today in Ibri, A'Dhahirah Governorate. The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court is organizing this notable event.

According to Oman News Agency, this year's competition is being conducted across 28 centers throughout the Sultanate of Oman, with the recent addition of the Al Jabal Al Akhdar Center and the Dima W'attayeen Center.

Yousuf Mohammed Al Balushi, Deputy Chairman of the Preliminary and Final Qualifiers Committees, revealed that 141 male and female memorizers are participating in Ibri. Overall, 2,214 participants from across Oman are competing in seven levels of the competition.

The levels range from memorizing the entire Holy Quran to memorizing two consecutive parts, with age restrictions for certain levels. The competition aims to encourage young people to memorize the Holy Quran, excel in its recitation, and adhere to its teachings.
