Al Mayasi also discussed the 93MW renewable energy project at Suhar Industrial City, which marks a strategic advancement in Oman's clean energy transition, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040. Located in Phase 7 of Suhar Industrial City, the project will support carbon reduction and energy security objectives by decreasing carbon emissions and conserving natural gas.
In addition to these developments, Madayn is pursuing several projects to enhance Suhar Industrial City's infrastructure, including a consultancy study for rehabilitating existing facilities and completing infrastructure for the new phase. Under the 11th Five-Year Development Plan, Madayn plans strategic projects such as service modernisation, building service facilities, and promoting investment in Ladayn Polymer Park, which has seen growth due to increased demand for plastic products.
