State Council Office Reviews Financial Sustainability and Legislative Proposals


Muscat: The Office of the State Council held its second meeting for the third ordinary session of the eighth term today. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.



According to Oman News Agency, the Office discussed a study prepared by the committee on enhancing financial sustainability for civil society institutions. The study highlighted findings and recommendations aimed at ensuring the long-term viability of this sector. The session also focused on proposals submitted by the Council’s permanent committees concerning topics designated for study during the third ordinary session of the eighth term. These efforts aim to enhance legislative efficiency, ensure alignment with national development plans, and consolidate the authentic values of Omani society while preserving its achievements.



Additionally, the Office reviewed reports submitted by Council members on their participation in regional and international meetings and forums. Members also examined follow-up reports on the implementation of previously issued decisions and summarized the Council’s activities during the past period. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Office approved and determined the agenda items for the fifth meeting of the third ordinary session of the eighth term.
