Muscat: The 6th International Conference on Numerical Analysis and Optimal Solutions (NAO 2026) kicked off today at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). The 3-day event is organized by the Department of Mathematics at the SQU's College of Science. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Saqri, who is the Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University and a Member of the State Council.

According to Oman News Agency, the conference addresses the latest research developments in the fields of theory, algorithms, and advanced applications in engineering, science, and medicine. It aims to promote multidisciplinary research and to integrate research efforts among sectors relevant to pure and applied scientific knowledge.

During the conference, participants will present their innovative research findings and discuss recent advancements in methods and techniques applicable to their areas of specialization. The event will also provide an opportunity for regional researchers to showcase their scientific contributions.
