Vienna: Pedro Acosta secured his first-ever victory in the MotoGP World Championship during the Austrian Grand Prix today, recovering his composure after a crash in the sprint race to overcome championship leader Jorge Martin. On the ninth lap, the 22-year-old Spanish rider, who had qualified third before crashing while leading yesterday's Saturday sprint race, seized the lead from Martin and went on to claim the win. Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi completed the podium.

According to Oman News Agency, seven-time world champion Marc Marquez endured a frustrating Grand Prix, as Ducati lacked the speed boasted by the Aprilia bikes. He finished the race in fifth place despite starting from second on the grid.
