Muscat:South Al Batinah: The Municipal Council of South Al Batinah Governorate convened to discuss several important topics related to public services, development projects, planning, and social welfare programs.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah. As Chairman of the Municipal Council, he emphasized the importance of monitoring ongoing projects, addressing community needs, fostering local development, and enhancing public service standards.
For the Wilayat of A'Rustaq, discussions centered around constructing storage facilities along the road linking A'Rustaq and Al Awabi, as well as paving the road between the Village of Amq in Wadi Al Sahtan and the Village of Al Jafr in Wadi Bani Awf.
In the Wilayat of Barka, the council addressed street lighting and rainwater drainage, alongside a proposal to modernize the residential-commercial strip in Al Rumais and pave the road connecting Al Haram North with the Al Haradi area.
For Al Musanaa, a study on paving the road from Sultan Qaboos Street to the Phase 5 development area was examined.
Lastly, in Al Awabi, the council explored improving the lighting of the mountain walkway in Al Mahdouth using solar-powered energy.
