Musandam: The Municipal Council of South Al Batinah Governorate convened for a periodic meeting to evaluate significant topics concerning service and development sectors across the governorate's wilayats. The session, presided over by Eng. Masoud Said Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah, focused on reviewing various initiatives and projects.
According to Oman News Agency, the council analyzed statistics and performance indicators related to services delivered by the Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah for the year 2025. Designs for several anticipated projects were also assessed during the meeting.
Moreover, the Council deliberated on a governorate-level afforestation initiative aimed at residential neighborhoods, particularly in areas outside private land plots next to water drainage channels. The meeting further included a study concerning the issuance of ownership deeds for several historical sites in the Wilayat of Barka.
In addition, the council considered requests for road paving in numerous residential neighborhoods throughout the governorate's wilayats.
