Salalah: The Directorate General of Culture, Sports and Youth in Dhofar Governorate is organizing a public awareness workshop on financial governance. Held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, the two-day workshop sees the participation of representatives of civil departments, military units, and sports sector organizations.

According to Oman News Agency, the workshop is in pursuance of efforts to consolidate the principles of financial governance and enhance the efficiency of institutional management. It deals with regulating administrative and financial work mechanisms, preserving resources, and achieving financial sustainability in sports clubs and organizations.

The workshop comprises working papers by specialists from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority, and Dhofar University. The workshop elaborates on topics related to the concept of financial governance, its historical development, and its relation to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. It also highlights the importance of financial governance in sports bodies, key challenges, and related solutions.
