SAF Chief of Staff Engages in Strategic Talks with Turkish Air Force Leader

Muscat: Lt. Gen Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), today received Air Chief Marshal Ziya Cemal Kadioglu, Commander of the Turkish Air Force, at Al Murtafa’a Camp. The meeting involved discussions on several topics of mutual interest between the two military officials.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was part of a broader engagement involving Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), who also received Air Chief Marshal Kadioglu and his delegation. An official welcoming ceremony marked the arrival of the Turkish delegation at the RAFO Command headquarters, complete with a Guard of Honor.

The agenda included exchanges on various military topics of mutual interest. Subsequently, the delegation, accompanied by Air Vice Marshal Al Ghafri, visited the Maritime Security Center (MSC). The Acting Head of the MSC provided a comprehensive briefing on the Center’s roles and efforts in safeguarding Oman’s maritime areas, showcasing the advanced technologies employed.

Furthering their official visit, Air Chief Marshal Kadioglu and his delegation, again accompanied by Air Vice Marshal Al Ghafri, toured the Military Technological College (MTC). They were welcomed by Air Commodore Mohammed Aziz Al Siyabi, Dean of the MTC, who provided insights into the College’s educational objectives and initiatives.
