Muscat:The Royal Oman Police (ROP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, has welcomed a new group of Omani university graduates who aspire to train as officer cadets. These graduates, both male and female, hold Bachelor's degrees and are set to undergo military training and academic qualification at the Police College within the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences.
According to Oman News Agency, the selection process for these aspirant graduates involved a series of stages, including general assessments, as well as medical and physical examinations. The ROP is committed to providing a conducive training environment to develop competent officers equipped to serve various units.
Training at the Police College is structured to ensure that officers are proficient in security duties and police tasks, following the latest standard curricula. The program includes legal police sciences, research, and studies, along with academic and professional qualifications tailored to align with contemporary advancements and future trends within the police force.
The course offers a range of specializations such as renewable energy engineering, criminology, biology, physics, chemistry, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, software engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, operations management, media coverage, and digital design.
