Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) today received a new batch of citizens who wish to get military training and join the RGO units.
According to Oman News Agency, the programme forms part of ongoing national efforts undertaken by the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) to provide employment for citizens, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour.
The trainees will undergo basic military training as soldier recruits. They will join the ranks of national duty after successfully completing training, meeting admission requirements and undergoing physical and medical examinations.
To speed up the qualification of the trainees in accordance with the plans and programmes set by the SAF and the Ministry of Defence, the RGO is extending its full resources to the trainees, providing them with specialized personnel and giving them access to its administrative facilities.
