RAO Concludes 2026 Band Competition with Ceremony at Al Murtafa’a Camp

Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) concluded its band competition for the year 2026 today. The event's closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, at the headquarters of the RAO Music at Al Murtafa'a Camp. The ceremony began with the Commander inaugurating the identity of the RAO Music, symbolizing support and boosting morale in the fields of pride and honor.

According to Oman News Agency, the ceremony included a briefing on the competition and its objectives. Musical bands participating in the competition showcased their performances, demonstrating high levels of competition in both skill and execution, which reflected the capabilities and efficiency of the RAO Music personnel.

At the conclusion of the event, the Commander honored the top achievers in the competition. The organization of the band competition aims to maintain the technical standards of the Royal Army of Oman's musical bands and prepare them with distinguished personnel for participation in regional and international musical competitions.
