Salalah: Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, departed Salalah today after completing an official two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
According to Oman News Agency, the Prime Minister and his delegation were bid farewell at the Royal Airport by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. Also present were HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and several key ministers including Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.
The delegation also included Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, and Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, who was the Head of the Mission of Honour. Additionally, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and Qais Saad Al Amri, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Oman, were in attendance.
Sheikh Mahmoud bin Muhanna Al Kharousi, Charge d’Affaires of Oman’s Embassy in Iraq, senior military officers in the Governorate of Dhofar, and members of the mission of honour also participated in the farewell ceremony.
