Muscat: Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, and his delegation visited the North A’Sharqiyah Governorate as part of an official visit to explore cooperation and enhance investments between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Dagestan.
According to Oman News Agency, the visit commenced with an official meeting where Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, stressed the significance of forging new paths for cooperation between the two countries. He pointed out the governorate’s rich array of investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, industry, and education. In response, the Prime Minister reiterated Dagestan’s commitment to bolstering economic and cultural ties with Oman, reflecting the shared development visions of both nations.
The itinerary included a visual presentation of North A’Sharqiyah’s key features, alongside specialized working papers covering agriculture, tourism, mining, higher education, and manufacturing. Discussions centered on current projects and future investment prospects.
A dialogue session was convened to deliberate on mechanisms for joint cooperation and to exchange perspectives on developing investment opportunities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The delegation also toured Bidiyah Sands, exploring the governorate’s tourism potential and observing the integration of its economic and tourism infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by members of the State Council and the Shura Council, walis, officials from the public and private sectors, and a delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ibra Branch.
