Political Affairs Undersecretary Engages in Diplomatic Discussions with Norwegian and Yemeni Officials

Muscat: Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, recently received the credentials of Kjersti Tromsdal, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Sultanate of Oman. During this meeting, the Undersecretary welcomed Ambassador Tromsdal, wishing her success in her new role and expressing hopes for the ongoing development of bilateral relations between Norway and Oman. The event was attended by Najeeb bin Yahya Al Balushi, Head of the Protocols Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with senior officials from the Ministry.

According to Oman News Agency, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy also held talks with Mustafa Ahmed Noman, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen. The discussions focused on the bilateral relations and cooperation between Oman and Yemen, addressing the latest developments in the Yemeni situation. Emphasis was placed on efforts to achieve a comprehensive political resolution among Yemeni parties to end the conflict and restore stability and peace to Yemen. Dr. Khaled Saleh Shoteif, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Oman, and other officials from the Foreign Ministry were present at this meeting.
