Muscat: The Board of Trustees of Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) today approved the list of doctors nominated for scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year, as well as those selected for OMSB training programs for the 2025-2026 academic year. This decision was made during its second meeting of the year, chaired by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

According to Oman News Agency, the Board discussed the approval of the Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care (BASIC) training course, internal accreditation reports for specialized training programs under the Adult Clinical Hematology Fellowship, and reviewed updates to the training programs.

The Board also examined the self-assessment report for programs in anesthesiology, family medicine, orthopedics, and psychiatry. Additionally, it reviewed the Accreditation Council for International Healthcare Education (ACIHE)’s survey for trainers and trainees.
