Muscat: Omani Traditional Games Season 2026 will kick off on 13 August at Al Dahariz Beach in the Wilayat of Salalah, on the sidelines of Khareef Dhofar monsoon activities. The 3-day event will be organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

According to Oman News Agency, the event seeks to raise awareness among visitors to Dhofar about various aspects of Oman's cultural heritage, engage local communities, and support the tourism sector. Sultan bin Said Al Sinani, Head of the Traditional Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, emphasized that the Ministry is organizing this event to preserve the key features of Oman's civilization. The event also aims to enhance interaction among Omani generations across the ages.
