Oman Showcases Record Participation at Gulfood 2026 in Dubai

Dubai: The Sultanate of Oman is currently participating in the 31st edition of the Gulfood exhibition, 'Gulfood 2026,' which commenced today at the Dubai World Trade Center and the Dubai Exhibition Center at Expo City Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The event features participation from 195 countries and over 8,500 exhibitors and brands.

According to Oman News Agency, Khalid Sulaiman Al Salhi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), stated that the new location at Expo City Dubai has contributed to doubling the area of the Omani pavilion, which now exceeds 330 square meters. The number of participating institutions has surpassed 25, making this participation the largest for the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion compared to previous editions.

He pointed out that during its participation in the 31st edition, Madayn sought to provide a qualitative addition within the framework of efforts to attract and localize foreign investments in the Sultanate of Oman. This, he said, is being achieved through organizing the event "From Factory to Table: Investment Insights for the Future of the Food Industry."

The event will focus on investing in the food industries by discussing opportunities for growth and expansion in regional and global markets, as well as supply chains and industrial integration by enhancing efficiency from production to the end consumer.

It will also address innovation and sustainability in the food sector through the use of modern technology, emphasizing quality and reducing waste. Additionally, it aims to empower small and medium enterprises and showcase successful Omani stories and promising models in food manufacturing, while also opening doors for strategic partnerships, building trade relations, and exploring prospects for cooperation between investors and supporting entities.
