Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation held the Second Omani-Russian Strategic Dialogue Session today in Muscat. The session was co-chaired on the Omani side by Maj. Gen Idrees Abdulrahman Al Kindi, Secretary-General of the National Security Council, with participation from Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Political Affairs, and several representatives from the concerned military, security, and civil units. On the Russian side, Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, co-chaired the session, accompanied by a number of Russian officials.
According to Oman News Agency, both sides affirmed the sincere desire of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests and advances the existing relations towards further progress and growth in various fields. Additionally, a number of files and issues of mutual concern were discussed during the session.
