Muscat: The third edition of the Oman-Philippines Strategic Majlis Forum is set to commence in Manila on Sunday, 26 July 2026. This event will feature the participation of senior government officials, representatives from private sector establishments, and specialists in various fields, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation and creating new opportunities for strategic partnerships between the two countries.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum will primarily explore investment opportunities in sectors such as tourism, technology, logistics, agriculture, and fisheries. It aims to serve as a platform to promote dialogue, develop strategic cooperation, and identify practical areas for partnership. The Omani delegation, led by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, will include Dr. Mahad bin Said Ba'Owain, Minister of Labour, Munir bin Ali Al Muniri, Deputy Chairman of Oman Investment Authority for Operations, Eng. Nasser bin Said Al Muniri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of the Philippines, and other representatives from public and private sectors.

The forum will elaborate on three main domains: economic ties, diplomatic relations, and innovation. It seeks to strengthen economic ties by exploring opportunities for trade exchange, attracting investments, and encouraging joint projects in priority sectors. In the diplomatic arena, the forum underlines the commitment of both countries to constructive dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Additionally, the forum will focus on promoting innovation by fostering stronger cooperation in modern production sectors, including technology, energy, agriculture, fisheries, logistics, and transport.
