Oman Participates in GCC Economy Meeting

Muscat: Represented by the Ministry of Economy, the Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 9th meeting of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority's preparatory committee. The meeting was held at the ministerial level via videoconferencing.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy. The meeting aimed to further consolidate joint action among GCC states and develop the system of economic cooperation to achieve integration and advance sustainable development. The participants reviewed decisions from the 19th consultative meeting of GCC leaders, emphasizing major strategic projects such as the GCC Customs Union, the GCC Common Market, and the GCC railway.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of maintaining joint action and efforts to devise innovative solutions for accelerating economic integration among GCC states. The primary objective is to meet the aspirations of the GCC people and achieve sustainable prosperity for all.
