Oman Participates in 28th Meeting GCC Justice Undersecretaries

Muscat: Represented by the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, the Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 28th meeting of undersecretaries of ministries of justice in GCC states. At the meeting, held via video conferencing, Oman was represented by Dr. Yahya bin Nasser Al Khusaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting discussed an initiative to establish an electronic platform for exchanging judicial notices and notifications among ministries of justice in GCC, as proposed by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It also studied draft unified rules for combating crimes of information technology in GCC states.

In addition, the meeting reviewed three main topics: the outcome of the meeting of the Committee of Directors and Heads of Judicial and Legal Training Centres and Institutes in GCC states; the 2026 report of the committee of officials tasked with international cooperation and international relations departments in GCC ministries of Justice; and the draft agenda of the 36th meeting of Ministers of Justice in GCC states.
