Oman: Oman Flour Mills company is bracing for the 2026 Omani wheat harvest season, actively receiving crops from farmers in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman for the sixth year in a row.

According to Oman News Agency, local wheat crop collection constitutes one of Oman Flour Mills company's most important national strategic programmes, which is implemented with direct support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. The programme empowers farmers and encourages them to expand the cultivation of wheat as a strategic crop, besides enhancing the country's reliance on local production to cater to food supply chains.

The 2026 harvest season saw a large turnout of farmers in many governorates. Initial indicators show a diversity in Omani wheat varieties and a rising trend in their volume this season, compared to previous seasons. This affirms the success of the programme and its amelioration year after year.

The programme also reflects the integrated national efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources to develop the wheat farming sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The Ministry supports farmers by providing them with guidance and modern technologies.

Oman Flour Mills company excels in processing wheat and converting it into national food products that support the local economy and enhance food security and the sustainability of local agricultural output.
