Oman Hosts 20th Conference of Arab Towns Organization

Salalah: The Sultanate of Oman hosted the 20th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organization during which the chairmanship of the organization's round was handed over from the city of Riyadh to Dhofar Municipality. The conference was held under the theme "More Innovative and Sustainable Cities."

According to Oman News Agency, the two-day conference, held at Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, concluded today under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The event aimed to enhance cooperation among Arab countries and facilitate the exchange of expertise to achieve sustainable development.

Discussions at the conference focused on urban development, the digital transformation of cities, and the challenges posed to the growth of Arab towns. Participants emphasized the importance of innovation and sustainability in urban planning to address these challenges effectively. The gathering provided a platform for stakeholders to share knowledge and strategies to promote the growth and development of Arab cities.
