Cairo: Represented by the Office of the Grand Mufti, the Sultanate of Oman today participated in the 11th World Conference on Fatwa, held in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The conference brought together an elite group of thinkers, academics, researchers, and experts, along with muftis from different parts of the world.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman's delegation was led by Ahmed bin Saud Al Siyabi, Secretary-General of the Office of Ifta in the Sultanate of Oman. This year's conference was titled "Family challenges amid major transformations: A Fatwa approach to protecting the family and preserving its Islamic identity."

In a speech at the conference, Al Siyabi addressed key challenges facing the Muslim family amid the current rapid social, economic, and technological developments. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the rulings of jurisprudence and the consolidation of Islamic values to protect the family, preserve its identity, and ensure its stability.

The Sultanate of Oman's participation in the conference underscores its commitment to engaging in events that address religious and intellectual issues. It seeks to promote dialogue and exchange experiences and perspectives on matters related to the stability of Arab and Islamic societies and families.
