Oman Engages in Cairo Talks on Two-State Solution

Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman participated in a significant meeting held in Cairo, focusing on the International Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. The assembly, titled “Supporting UNRWA in the Context of the Two-State Solution,” was hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt as part of the ongoing conferences organized by the Global Alliance for the Two-State Solution.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting’s primary agenda was to discuss pragmatic strategies for establishing a Palestinian State. Representing Oman at the conference was Sheikh Faisal Omar Al Marhoon, the Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry. This gathering in Cairo marked the fourth meeting of its kind, following previous sessions in Riyadh, Brussels, and Oslo.

The International Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution was established in September 2023 during the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York. The alliance’s formation underscores its commitment to advancing solutions for peace and stability in the region.
