Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli airstrikes that targeted Abu al-Duhur military airport in the Syrian Arab Republic. The airstrike, it said, is deemed a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a flagrant breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
According to Oman News Agency, in a statement issued today by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed its rejection of the attacks, which, it said, endanger the security and stability of the region.
The Sultanate of Oman also urged the international community-notably the Security Council, to shoulder its responsibilities and take necessary action to stop such attacks and prevent their recurrence. Oman reiterated its solidarity with Syria and expressed support for all efforts aimed at safeguarding the Arab Republic's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
